NORWICH - At their meeting on October 2, the DCMO BOCES Board of Education appointed Patti Gallaher to be deputy superintendent. Gallaher was previously the director of educational services for BOCES.
The deputy superintendent will be responsible for the direct supervision of instructional programming, including career and technical education, special education, and alternative education; management services; business office services, and indirectly for instructional services.
Gallaher will continue to provide oversight of the Human Resources department.
“Patti's deep knowledge of DCMO BOCES, her relationship with just about everyone at DCMO, her passion for and commitment to DCMO, and her outstanding work ethic make her an excellent and obvious choice for this role,” said DCMO BOCES District Superintendent Michael J. Rullo.
Gallaher has spent her entire professional career at DCMO BOCES. She started in 1991as a special education teacher, working with students with multiple disabilities. In 2003, she was appointed Coordinator of Special Education and Itinerant Services, and in 2004, Director of Special Education. She served in that role until February 2022, when she was named Director of Educational Services.
